About Me
Hi! I'm Dr. Ruth Mwongeli Muthoka, founder of RueCoaching and EcoRue, engineer, mentor, and someone deeply passionate about science, engineering, and innovation.
Growing up in Kenya, I didn’t just dream; I engineered my way into STEM! With a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Kenya and an MSc/PhD from South Korea, I’ve spent my life tackling challenges, designing solutions, and breaking barriers. Along the way, I’ve published more than 23 research papers in high-impact journals and discovered my passion for mentoring young minds.
But let me tell you, this isn’t about me. It’s about your child.
My journey has taught me that with the right guidance, every kid can discover their strengths, embrace their unique talents, and dream BIG.
I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by societal expectations, but I also know how empowering it is to find your confidence and own your space. That’s why I created RueCoaching: not just to coach skills, but to help kids (and their parents!) believe in what’s possible, no matter where their passions lead.
When I'm not coaching, you'll find me exploring the fascinating intersections of materials research, machine learning, and innovation, or just enjoying a good book with a cup of coffee!
